SOCA) a UK organization formed by joining together the National Crime Squad, the National Crime Intelligence Service, parts of Customs and Excise, and parts of the Inland Revenue. The purpose of the organization is to stop organized crime such as child pornography, people smuggling, and the trade in illegal drugs. Although it has been compared to the FBI in the US, the organization is not intended to deal with terrorism or murder. |
